Adjusted Sports Statistics and Ratings
Welcome to my site. I have always been fascinated by sports statistics (either historical or modern) by comparing players from different years. On this site, you will find datasets that were created as a means to compare players and teams within each league (sport) over different eras. I decided to use different eras for each sport since it's not feasible to compare someone who played in the 1920s to someone in the 2020s.
Yearly raw data from the NHL, MLB, NFL, NBA, PGA, ATP and WTA were normalized within each league and era to create new player/team statistics and ratings. Adjustments were made for each year based on the era it is located in.
For example, someone who played in the MLB in 1920 and someone who played in 1940, their data will be normalized to the same year within that era (it would be like merging all of the seasons within an era into one season). This method is used for all of the sports.
​Team adjusted statistics will be added in the near future. Other leagues and sports might be added in the future (such as: NCAA football and basketball, auto racing).
